Commissioning a Ceramic Piece

Commissioning a piece is a simple, collaborative process - and I’ll guide you through each step. I take on a limited number of commissions at a time, so if you’re thinking about it, it’s best to get in touch early.

1. Get in touch
Send me a message with what you have in mind. You can request a pet sculpture, choose an existing design from my site or commission something completely bespoke. I’ll confirm pricing and availability upfront so you know exactly what to expect.

Guide prices:

• Pet sculptures: from £180

• Existing plate designs: £80

• Bespoke plate designs: from £120

2. We shape the idea together

For pet sculptures, I’ll ask for photos and guide you on what works best. We’ll agree pose and personality, size and style and timeline. 

For bespoke ceramic plates and other decorative pieces, I’ll create a sketch for you to review before I begin.

 3. Secure your commission

To book your piece, I take 50% upfront and 50% on completion. Payments via bank transfer (UK) or PayPal + 5% transaction cost (international).

4. Creation

I handcraft and decorate your piece, sharing progress updates along the way so you can see it come to life.

5. Delivery

Once finished and fired, your piece will be carefully packaged and shipped to you. Estimated shipping:

• UK tracked: ~£4.45

• US tracked: ~£20.20 (+ applicable tariffs)

Timing

Each piece is handmade and fired twice, with natural drying time required. Estimated turnaround: 4–8 weeks. Sometimes it’s quicker, but I’ll always give you a realistic timeframe before starting.

Availability

I work on a small number of commissions at once to give each piece the attention it deserves. If you have a specific date in mind, please get in touch early.
